Activity Description

About 2.5 hours drive from central Athens lies mount Parnassos, the starting point of this hiking adventure, which will last about 3 hours.
Once you reach mt Parnassos from Athens, your expert guide will drive you for another 30 minutes off road to the starting point of your hike. He will then lead you amid Greek fauna to a stunning cave called Neraidospilia, also known as the 'cave of fairies'. This cave is a rare finding and definitely an off-the-beaten-track attraction, because of the difficult and steep path that leads to it. Your guide has equipped the path with a safety rope for the selective few to be able to visit safely this incredible and totally virgin spot. Interesting fact: the cave is full of water and shallow lakes until the beginning of June. 
No special speleological equipment is required to visit this beautiful cave. 
Following this 3 hour hike, your guide will take you to a local taverna to relax and energise before your return back to Athens.

Note:  Equipment required: Backpack, shoes suitable for trekking or sports, warm jacket, fleece jumper, long trousers, warm cap/hat, water, snacks, extra clothes in case of bad weather and rain, flashlight. Shorts or swimsuits and towels are highly recommended for the crossings of small lakes (with knee-high water) which form usually during winter and spring. Itineraries may be subject to minor changes depending on weather conditions.

Young Travellers: Suitable for children over 10 years old, in the mood to hike.
