Spend a memorable day with Captain Yiorgis, the reincarnation of 'Zorba the Greek'; an extraordinary, unique personality who has made this kind of trip a way of life. Captain Yiorgis is an original Cretan figure with all the qualities a visitor might expect to find from a host. His generosity, hearty smile, friendliness and helpfulness are just a few of his characteristics. He will make you feel really comfortable and also may give a sense of luxury to your trip to make it even more special.

Available either on a private or semi-private basis, this boat trips departs in the morning from Ravdoucha port (Kissamos) with the captain's 9 meter boat, heading to the secluded beach of Amygdalia, accessible only by sea. The bay has crystal turquoise waters and is perfect for snorkelling as it is full of sea life, ideal also for exploration via canoe kayak or puddle-surfing. Goats will be climbing down from the mountain in a herd, close to 'base' which is located at the beach of Amygdalia, where your captain has created a beautiful set up of umbrellas and sun-beds for you to relax. Very close to the beach, you can also visit the 1000 year old Saint Nikolas church, which is located inside a beautiful cave.
Meantime, your host will cook local food at a traditional wood oven, right before your eyes and will be serving you lunch right on the beach! He will treat you with a variety of Cretan and Greek dishes, to be enjoyed either on board or on the beach. Throughout the day you will be offered delicious, traditional Cretan snacks and nibbles, fresh seasonal fruit and ample chilled wine, water, local raki or honey raki to seal this day with the best of what the Cretan hospitality has to offer. 
As you will keep on enjoying your trip, you will also go close to Saint Pavlos Beach at a different small bay, on the top of which a small Byzantine monastery named Saint Pavlos (over a 1000 years old and also accessible) is located.
Just before sunset, your host will treat you with traditional Greek desserts and -of course- more wine and raki! After sunset, you will embark onboard for your return to Ravdoucha. 

This boat trip is available as a private experience or can be shared with other willing guests at a more accessible price, splitting the cost [in case of 2 couples the price is €375 per couple]
