Your day trip safari in Chania's core of Cretan culture begins with a visit to the Terra Creta olive mill and then the Karavitakis winery for an informative tour and a mouthwatering wine tasting experience unraveling the secrets of high longevity in Crete! Then you will head to the village of Ano Vouves to marvel up close the ancient olive tree which is 3000 years old and will learn about the history of olives. Working up an appetite, you will arrive at a small village tavern in Panethimos, where your host will introduce you to the Cretan cuisine with plenty of local food and wine; you will experience the very essence of the renowned Cretan hospitality! On the way up to Mesavlia, you will cross a gorge with a picturesque creek nestled amongst lush vegetation. There, on your way through the gorge, you will have plenty of opportunities to take photos of picturesque chapels, sheep, goats, sprawling vineyards and gorgeous olive groves. On the way back, you will pass through the historical Cretan villages of Kakopetros, Dromonero and Voukolies before your return to Chania town.

Note: The tour is not recommended to people suffering from car sickness, have mobility or kinetic problems or back problems or pregnant or people taller than 1,95cm or heavier than 130 Kg. Recommended gear: comfortable shoes (for example, trekking shoes or sandals), camera, sun protection, hat etc. During spring and autumn, you are advised to bring a jacket. The host reserves the right to make minor changes in the program when considered necessary (e.g. in case of unfavourable weather conditions), without prior notice. Reservations must be made no later 24 hours prior to departure. Special dietary requirements can be met subject to notification in your booking form. The trip has guided stops every 30-40 minutes, for everyone’s convenience.

Young Travellers: The tour is not recommended for children younger than 7 years old as the host cannot provide baby seats. Alcohol consumption is not allowed to minors under the age of 18 years old. Special discounts apply for children 7-12 years old (€69). Children 13 years old and older pay full price.

Cancellation Policy

A cancellation must be done at least 48 hours before departure; charges may apply for credit card payment processing fees. In case of later cancellations, no refund will be made.
